The Macallan An Estate, A Community and A Distillery
Whisky and art lovers rejoice: introducing The Macallan’s latest collaboration with pop art icon Sir Peter Blake.
Named An Estate, A Community, And A Distillery, the bottle is displayed in a custom box inspired by Sir Peter Blake’s art, alongside a certificate outlining the history and heritage on which the art was based, and Sir Peter Blake’s artwork printed on a scroll.
The whisky is the colour of cinnamon, with notes of dried fruits, cracked black pepper, treacle, vanilla and a rich cacao finish.
Knowledge Bar
An Estate, A Community and A Distillery, part of The Macallan’s Anecdotes of Ages Collection in collaboration with Sir Peter Blake, tells a story of heritage inspired by the natural beauty of The Macallan distillery, its surrounding landscape and the enigmatic characters who have guided The Macallan for almost 200 years. The digitally designed label by Sir Peter Blake himself was inspired by his visit to The Macallan Estate on the legendary River Spey in Scotland. An exquisite addition to any whisky collection and for those with a love of art.
The Macallan’s Anecdotes of Ages Collection marks the third collaboration with Sir Peter Blake in the brand’s history. The Macallan holds a deep appreciation for the time it takes to establish, nurture, and protect heritage as well as a desire to produce iconic creations and legendary pieces, and these values of timelessness are mirrored in both the character and work of Sir Peter Blake.
