Highland Park 50 Year Old Gold Version
A stunning 50-year-old expression from Highland Park, originally released in 2020. This distinguished whisky initially matured in nine refill casks before undergoing a twelve year finish in first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks. Just 274 bottles were filled at 43.8% abv.
The nose has dark brown sugar, dark chocolate, and black cherries. The palate is aromatic and sweet with candied orange peel and toasted oak before leading into a finish full of peat smoke, baking spices, and coffee.
