Springbank 5 Year Old 100 Proof

This 5-year-old single malt from Campbeltown was distilled at the region’s oldest operational distillery, Springbank. Bottled at a robust 100 Proof (57.1% abv), this expression was fully matured in Bourbon casks, giving it plenty of spicy character.

On the nose, expect a bright and vibrant start with notes of green apples, gorse bush, wine gums and a mineral note. The palate follows with peat smoke, and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate, before developing into subtler notes of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil. The finish brings notes of honey and gooseberries.
